Frequently Asked Questions

Introduction

My name is Juergen Strenger - I am the webmaster of this website. I frequently play in the ITF Seniors circuit, and I came up with the idea of this website as a means to help reduce travel expenses. The intention of this site is to establish contact between tennis players who offer hospitality and those looking for it.

This site was established in February 2019, meaning that the number of hospitality offers is going to be low initially, but hopefully it will grow to the point where you can find hospitality offers across the World. I hope that the ITF and the various tournaments organizations will endorse this website by recommending its use in their Facebook groups, on their websites and in the tournament calender. Of course, you can all help to spread the word by sharing this website on social media.

The use of this site is free of charge, both for those who search for hospitality and those who offer it.

Any listings not related to the purpose of the site will be deleted.

What does hospitality mean?

Simply put, it means someone who is also a tennis player may have a guest room in his apartment or house, and he is willing to accommodate a fellow player for a few days during a tournament. It doesn't get cheaper than that! Asides from getting free accommodation, this could also be a great way to make new friends among the community of tennis players.

Important: This site is about free accommodation, so please do not list anything here like hotels, rentals etc. Any such listing will be deleted. If you come across such a listing, please contact the administrator and we will delete it. The only services you may end up paying for are transport services or meals, depending on the wishes of your host.

Which type of tournaments is this for?

Well, you can use it for any type of tournament. Whether it is an tournament for boys, girls, men, ladies or seniors, you can try and find an accomodation here. And it is not restricted to ITF tournaments - it can also be used by ATP players on a budget, or for national tournaments.

How can I search for a hospitality opportunity on this site?

The simplest way to do it is to copy the name of the country and city of your tournament venue and enter it into the search function on our website. The site will then show you all offers in the vicinity of your tournament venue. When you find a suitable host, you can then establish contact with him or her, by sending a message through our site.

Do I need to create a user profile to search?

No, you do not. You can search our database as an unregistered guest. But if you find a hospitality offer and would like to contact the host, then you need to register on our site

I am willing to host a fellow tennis player, how do I proceed?

First of all, you would have to sign up on our site and set up a profile. Next, you create a listing for your hospitality offer on our site. Be as specific as possible about the details, especially about the location and who you would like to welcome at your home. Give a short description of yourself and what a potential guest can expect. In order to protect your privacy, we suggest that you do not add your full address - country, state, city, zip code and street name is sufficient.

You can create a maximum of 3 hospitality offers per account.

In my listing, will any of my personal data will be visible to the public?

We suggest that you do not enter a phone number or fax number. In order to show the approximate location of your residence, only the name of the street is required, but no number. Your email address will be required, but users will not see it. To contact you, they will have to send a message to you through our website. The message will be forwarded by us to your registered email address.

I have signed up, but I am not able to log in
